New Member Hub Coming Soon

ASA, CSSA, and SSSA are excited to launch our new Member Hub, a centralized, user-friendly site where members can access the same content previously offered on the Society websites and discussion boards, but with more customization and networking available than ever before.
ASA, CSSA, and SSSA are excited to launch our new Member Hub, a centralized, user-friendly site where members can access the same content previously offered on the Society websites and discussion boards, but with more customization and networking available than ever before.
The first components scheduled to launch in the Member Hub are Circles, Events Calendar, Membership Directory, and Mentorship in November 2024. Members can expect to see the Awards hub launch in February 2025, followed by the Committee Appointments and Volunteer hubs later in 2025.
Circles Rolling Out in November
The first installment in the Member Hub rollout is Circles. This space is designed to better facilitate discussions and connections between members. When asked about where this idea came from, Member Experience Coordinator Sarah (Sally) Paese said, “We want members to be able to connect, network, and learn throughout the year other than just at the Annual Meeting.” Circles does just that. Rather than clicking through separate discussion boards and Society pages, sifting through emails, or waiting to connect in Salt Lake City at the Annual Meeting in 2025, members can now see all their groups, correspondences, and connections in one place, and can enjoy a new, customizable feed-style homepage to stay up to date with the latest community news and activity.

Societies, divisions, career stages, committees, board assignments, specialty groups, and more will now be accessible as individual Circles. To get started, just log in at https://memberhub.sciencesocieties.org/home with your Society login. That’s right, we’re keeping it easy; you don’t have to create and remember one more username and password, or even which groups you were part of. All that information is already integrated into your Member Hub profile. However, if you’re looking to expand your “Venn diagram” of communities, as Sally likes to put it, you can also join any publicly available Circles. For more information on how to get started, join Circles, and complete your profile, check out our guides at https://memberhub.sciencesocieties.org/home/learn-more.
New Opportunities to Connect and Network
Within a Circle, members can access the following content: Discussions, Event Schedule, Member Directory, and Resource Library. Discussions is a place where members can discuss, collaborate, and learn together in a collective, interactive space—it will take the place of the old discussion boards. The Events Schedule within each Circle will serve as a valuable resource for members looking to increase their engagement and networking opportunities with their peers and members with similar interests. The Member Directory allows for greater connectivity within the Hub space where members can send and receive “contact requests,” direct messages within the Hub, and can receive and react to Circle-wide communications without ever opening their external mail app. Finally, the Resource Library will serve as a space where members can find meeting notes, brochures, links to sites or programs, and anything else deemed helpful by Circle moderators.

Log in, scroll through your feed, connect with other members, and join us as we venture into a new era of membership engagement through the Member Hub at ASA, CSSA, and SSSA.
