Choosing your submission format:
Abstracts
Abstracts are proposals for individual presentations that authors perform onsite and/or virtually. Submissions are open through July 8, 2025.
Rapid Oral Presentations
Rapid presentations are in-person,5-minute oral presentations that usually have a corresponding poster presentation later that same afternoon.
Poster Presentations
Posters are hung in the Exhibit Hall and presented during an assigned two-hour poster session.
Virtual Presentations
Virtual presentations can be prerecorded oral presentations, Eposters, or poster PDF presentations that are available for on-demand viewing.
Sessions
Sessions are groups of related presentations on a particular topic or theme. Submission deadlines vary.
Tour Proposals
Tours are professional field trips that occur prior to, during, or following CANVAS.
Workshop Proposals
Workshops are interactive educational sessions for that emphasize the exchange of ideas and the demonstration and application of techniques, skills, etc.
Meeting Rooms
These requests are reserved gatherings available to Society committees and other organizations during CANVAS.
Reception Rooms
These requests are for catered networking events Society committees and other organizations hold during CANVAS.
Special Sessions
These are high-level, invited speaker sessions that do not fit within a single division/community program. They are typically broader in scope, and the interest and subject matter crosses all three societies.

These are high-level, invited speaker sessions that do not fit within a single SSSA division program. They are typically broader in scope, and the interest and subject matter crosses at least three SSSA divisions.
