Meet the 2024 SASES National Officers

Join us in welcoming our 2024 national officers for SASES, the undergraduate program of ASA, CSSA, and SSSA. Students from SASES clubs around the country elect their national officer team every year. The officer team meets via video conference and plans student events and sessions during the Annual Meeting.
Analeese Brewster, President

“My name is Analeese Brewster, and I am in my last year at Oklahoma State University majoring in Plant and Soil Science. I am so excited to be serving my second year on the National Officer team as President and look forward to helping increase undergraduate member engagement so that SASES can most benefit each student's career plan. The past couple summers I completed internships and have also participated in undergraduate research. I plan on attending graduate school next year, focusing my studies on water use management in cotton and hope to work for an industry cotton‐breeding team after graduation.”
Cade Halbrook, Vice President

“I am originally from Arkansas and am currently a junior at Oklahoma State University (OSU) majoring in Plant and Soil Sciences with a focus in Plant Biotechnology and Improvement. After graduating from OSU, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in agronomy or weed science and hope to work as a university extension specialist. I am a member of the OSU Agronomy Club and the Crops‐Judging team. I also work as a student technician for Oklahoma Foundation Seed Stocks, helping provide OSU‐developed wheat varieties to farmers. I chose to run for office because of the positive impact that SASES has through professional development and networking opportunities. I hope to serve my fellow students and raise awareness of the benefits of this organization.”
Ashlynn Hartman, Member Relations Officer

“I am a junior at Kansas State University, studying Agronomy and Agricultural Economics. I am active in the Wheat State Agronomy Club and compete on the Weeds team. Upon graduating from Kansas State, I plan to pursue a career as an agronomist and eventually find a role in agricultural policy. I grew up on a grain farm in southeast Nebraska and have been heavily involved in the agriculture industry my whole life. My interests include protecting producers, aiding rural communities, and helping advance the future of agriculture. I enjoy meeting new people, especially those in agriculture, and talking to them about their experiences in the industry. I am excited to serve as the SASES Member Relations Officer and look forward to helping facilitate and foster relationships at the Annual Meeting.”
Ruby Slentz, Recording Officer

“I am currently a sophomore in Agronomy with minors in Horticulture and Food and Farm Sustainability. I have not fully figured out what I want to do after college, but I am slowly figuring it out! At Purdue, I am involved in the Agronomy Club, Agronomy Ambassadors, and Sigma Alpha, and I am a swim instructor. I chose to run for a SASES officer position because I wanted to help make this organization flourish! I am so excited to serve as the Recording Officer for this year!”
